Milestone 01: Launch of “Unheaded” – A Minimalist Text-Only Blog Platform
In the first milestone of the ARTS 600 course, I applied the skills I acquired during the tutorials to launch “Unheaded,” a minimalist blog platform inspired by the clean and simple aesthetic of sites like Medium. The primary goal of this platform was to focus entirely on text, eliminating any visual distractions such as photos or videos, thereby emphasizing the written content.
Utilizing Loopers and Dynamic Content, learned in previous tutorials, I created a website that not only promotes a clean and distraction-free reading environment but also manages content dynamically. This approach allowed for the automated display of the most recent posts on the homepage, ensuring that the content remains fresh and easily accessible. Individual post pages were designed to be direct and clutter-free, providing a focused reading experience. Additionally, an archive page was incorporated to organize all posts efficiently.
The development of “Unheaded” not only demonstrated my ability to integrate advanced web tools into a functional design but also showcased my commitment to creating user-centric digital experiences. This milestone marked a significant step in my journey to blend technical skills with aesthetic simplicity in web design.
