Tutorial 02: Mastering Branding Tools and Micro Interactions with Cornerstone
In the second tutorial of the series, I focused on enhancing my web design skills by exploring the advanced branding tools offered by Themeco’s Cornerstone builder. This week was dedicated to learning how to effectively use Cornerstone’s features to set and modify brand colors and fonts, which are essential for maintaining a cohesive visual identity across a website.
I spent considerable time understanding and implementing micro interactions, which are subtle animations that occur in response to user actions, such as mouse hovers. These interactions are vital for improving user engagement and providing a dynamic browsing experience. To consolidate my learning, I constructed a web page that incorporated these micro interactions, particularly focusing on hover effects to enhance usability and aesthetic appeal.
My primary resources for this tutorial were detailed YouTube video tutorials and actively reading Themeco forums, where I learned from other designers and developers. This resource not only helped in resolving doubts but also provided insights into best practices and creative uses of Cornerstone’s branding tools.
